Kym Marsh 'splits' from boyfriend just six months after ‘soulmate’ admission (2025)

Coronation Street star Kym Marsh, 49, is said to be single again, just six months after publicly announcing her recent relationship.

The actress reportedly split from her boyfriend, Samuel Thomas, 29, before Christmas after the end of their time on tour together.

This comes after the former couple branded each other as “soulmates” in gushing Instagram posts which confirmed their relationship.

According to a source via The Sun: “Kym and Sam fell head over heels when they first met and couldn’t wait to tell the world.

“But once Kym’s role in 101 Dalmatians ended it became harder to spend time together and some of the magic they had at the beginning just disappeared.”

The insider added: “It’s such a shame, especially before Christmas, but Kym surrounded herself with family.”

Despite being very public about their love for one another, neither Kym or Sam posted about each other on Valentine's Day last week, further suggesting their break-up.

They reportedly also spent Christmas and New Year apart, as they both posted the different things they got up to.

The source further claimed: “There is no hard feelings, it was all very cordial.”

This comes after the end of Kym’s third marriage to Army Major Scott Ratcliff in May 2023, 19 months after the couple tied the knot.

The Hear'Say singer met Scott in 2019 and wed in October 2021. She previously married Hollyoaks star Jamie Lomas in 2012 and actor Jack Ryder, 41, in 2002.

In a 2023 interview with The Guardian, Kym commented on how she copes after going through so much in her life, including failed marriages and simply shared: “It's just experience”.

The actress is also mum to son David, who is the same age as Samuel, Emilie, 27, and 13-year-old Polly.

Kym also became a grandmother in May 2019, when Emilie welcomed a son with her boyfriend, Mikey Hoz.
